FREE TO PLAY

Every game and learning world on jesselander.com is free. You don't need an account; an optional AETHER ID lets progress follow you between devices. ◆ LUMEN and ⚡ FLUX are in-game credits earned by playing. They have no cash value: they can't be exchanged for money or transferred, and they may be rebalanced as the games evolve. Lifetime totals you earned are never taken away. jesselander.com has no real-money purchases. Allowance records are not purchases made through jesselander.com; there is nothing for us to refund.

🪐 Orbit Points are fun points with no cash value. A grown-up awards or approves them using their signed Educator Console link. The family or teacher can choose rewards such as a small toy, candy or extra free time, arranged entirely outside this website. Points cannot be exchanged for money or become allowance.

FAMILY ALLOWANCE — A RECORD, NOT AN ACCOUNT

1. What it is. The Family Allowance tracker lets a parent or legal guardian keep a record of an allowance they choose to give their own child. It is a notebook for a family promise, and nothing more.
2. We never touch money. jesselander.com is not a bank, payment service, money transmitter, e-money issuer, wallet, savings account or prepaid card. We never receive, hold, send, invest, lend or guarantee money, and nobody can pay or be paid through the site. Nothing here is a deposit, nothing is insured, and nothing earns interest from us. There is no payment processor behind this feature, and there never will be.
3. The parent or legal guardian pays, not us. Every amount is what the child's parent or legal guardian has promised under rules they set. It is not an offer, prize, wage, reward, gift or debt from jesselander.com, and it is not a claim against us. It can't be redeemed, cashed in, transferred, or exchanged with us or anyone else through the site. Only the parent or legal guardian decides whether, when and how to pay.
4. We never ask for payment details. We will never ask you for card numbers, bank details, passwords or any payment, by email or anywhere else. Treat any message that does as fake.
5. Only a parent or legal guardian. Only a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older should turn the allowance on, set rules or answer requests. Up to two educators can be on an account. A teacher or tutor added as an educator can follow the child's progress, but cannot give consent for the child and should leave the allowance to a parent or legal guardian. We don't yet confirm that an email address belongs to a parent or legal guardian, and anyone holding a link from our emails can act as an educator on the account, so keep links private and use “Revoke every console link and passkey” if one leaks.
6. Numbers can be wrong. Amounts come from the apps' active-time meter, which can miss or overcount (offline play, clock changes, outages, bugs, tampering). Please look over the record before you pay; the parent or legal guardian's own judgment wins. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any amount a record showed or missed.
7. Not a job, not a purchase. An allowance is a family arrangement. Nothing here creates employment, wages or a contract with jesselander.com, and we don't referee disagreements about what was promised. Recording what a child spent is not a purchase made through jesselander.com, so there is nothing for us to refund.
8. Game credits are separate. ◆ LUMEN and ⚡ FLUX are game credits with no cash value. 🪐 Orbit Points are points with no cash value. None of these can become allowance, and allowance can't buy them.
9. Changes. We are rebuilding this feature to make its records permanent and easier to check. We may change or retire it; we'll say so in the console first when we can.

GAME FUEL

Game Fuel works where your child is signed in. A private window or another browser isn’t locked. A browser that has used Game Fuel may ask your child to sign in before playing. These controls support your family’s rules; they do not replace supervision.

PUBLIC BOARDS

Leaderboards are shared with everyone. When you submit a score it appears with your callsign (or the name you typed as a guest), your avatar look and the score. Scores produced by cheating, tampering with saves, or automation may be removed, and repeat offenders lose leaderboard access.

BE KIND

• Pick a callsign that isn't a real full name and isn't rude, hateful or meant to upset anyone.
• The owner may rename or remove any callsign, score or account at any time, for any reason, without notice.
• A parent or legal guardian should set up and supervise accounts for children; the educator email addresses on a family's allowance record or reports are how we reach you.
• The games and learning worlds are for personal, family and classroom use.

NO GUARANTEES

This is a family-built project, provided as-is. Games may change, be rebalanced, paused or removed at any time. We can't promise uptime, or that every save survives every update — though we work hard to make sure they do (signed-in progress is mirrored to your account). To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from use of the site. This includes allowance records.

WHAT'S OURS, WHAT'S OPEN

• The games, artwork, names, narration and code of jesselander.com belong to Jesse Lander unless stated otherwise.
• Some games include open-source components under their own licenses (for example MIT/BSD libraries). Those components stay under their own licenses and nothing here restricts your rights under them; each game's About screen lists what it ships with.
• GPL-licensed engines. Where a game ships files licensed under the GNU General Public License (for example a chess engine running as a separate program), those files remain free software under GPL-3.0. You may copy, share, modify and redistribute them under that license, the license text and source link ship beside them, and nothing in these Terms restricts your rights to those files.
